Note Before We Begin:
Just joining us? I am Tracey founder of Luna Sage Letters and I created a free 7-day wellness reset for women who are stressed overwhelmed and running on empty — and then decided to do it myself and share every honest moment with you. Catch up on 👉 Day 1, 👉 Day 2, 👉 Day 3 and grab your free reset below to follow along! 🌙 🌙

Dear Lovely Soul,

I went into Day 4 mentally exhausted. The kind of exhausted where your brain feels full and heavy and you just need everything to stop for a minute.

Day 4 of the Luna Sage Reset asks you to do one simple thing. Breathe and be still.

No meditation app required. No special cushion. No perfect technique. Just you and some quiet.

For me that looked like sitting with my coffee. That was it. Nothing fancy. Just me, my mug and an intention to be still for a few minutes.

And honestly? It was harder than I expected.

Within minutes I was reaching for my phone. Not because I needed anything. Not because something urgent had come up. Just because silence felt strange and my hands did not know what to do without a screen to scroll.

I felt guilty almost immediately. Like I should be doing something. Like stillness was somehow wasteful.

But I kept coming back to the intention. Put the phone down. Breathe. Just sit.

And in those moments between the reaching and the redirecting something became very clear to me.

I am more dependent on distraction than I realized.

My phone is not just a tool — it is a way of avoiding my own thoughts. A way of filling every quiet moment before my mind has a chance to actually rest. And my mind? My mind needs so much more quiet than I ever give it.

All three of these things are true for me and I suspect they might be true for you too:

🌙 I use my phone to avoid sitting with my thoughts more than I realize
🌙 Stillness is a skill I need to practice daily
🌙 My mind needs more quiet time than I give it

But here is what else Day 4 taught me — and this is the part I want you to hold onto.

Even imperfect stillness counts.

I did not sit in perfect silence for ten minutes. I reached for my phone a couple of times. My mind raced the whole time and I heard this voice saying “you should be doing something”, pick up your phone. And yet — something shifted. Something always shifts when we try, even imperfectly.

Going forward I am committing to two tiny stillness practices:

🌿 A few minutes of phone free coffee every single morning
🌿 Three slow deep breathes when I feel overwhelmed

That is all. Nothing complicated. Nothing that requires a meditation retreat or an hour of free time. Just two small intentional moments of quiet in an otherwise noisy day.

If you are someone who struggles to sit still — I see you completely. Here is what I want you to remember:

Stillness feels uncomfortable because we are not used to it. The mind craves quiet but we rarely give it any. We are more addicted to our phones than most of us want to admit.

And that is okay. That is exactly why this reset exists.

Quiet moments are not wasted moments. Stillness is not a personality trait you either have or you do not — it is a practice. And like any practice it gets easier the more you show up for it.

Even if showing up looks like sitting with your coffee and trying your best. 🌿

If any of this resonates — grab your free Luna Sage Reset below and try Day 4 for yourself. I would love to know how it goes for you.

Come back tomorrow for Day 5 — and I promise it surprised me in the best way.

Until Next Week:
Thank you for being here lovely. Day 4 was humbling — sitting with yourself in silence is one of the hardest things to do in our distracted world. But even imperfect stillness counts and I hope today reminded you of that. Day 5 is coming and it surprised me in the best way — come back and read along. Again, if you haven’t already downloaded your own copy of the reset, you can get it at the link below.

With much care,

Tracey
